the Company - HENLEY JEWELRY specializes in custom-made hand crafted jewelry. Each item is created at the time it is ordered. You will find detailed descriptions of each piece in the collection as you browse each section (Earrings, Necklaces, and Bracelets). Because each piece is made specifically for a particular customer, sizes and details are tailored to individual desires. HENLEY JEWELRY is sold through private Shows. From the Shows, word-of-mouth has generated a larger circle of business, which has created customers from Georgia to California, Korea to South Africa, as well as places in between. Having a website will give all customers a state-of-the-art catalog from which to order. However, this will not take the place of Shows! Please let me know if you are interested in hosting a Show in your area. the Artist -Who is the artist?... A wife/mother/daughter/sister/friend who has found a niche in designing and making jewelry. For years I have worked from home while raising our three children and volunteering in the community. I had an interior design business for several years and have, in the past, designed and created needlepoint and cross stitch. A beautiful gift from a very dear friend opened a whole new avenue for design - jewelry. I love meeting customers at private Shows, then creating the pieces that they have ordered for themselves or to give as a gift. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to meet everyone in person. It has been fun making contact via e-mail as friends of customers have also placed orders. I hope that having an ever-changing catalog will add another dimension to your buying experience. I will continue to give each order personal service and hope that our paths will eventually cross! Thank you for your interest in the jewelry and I look forward to hearing from you. the Process -Each jewelry design begins with a base of sterling silver beads. From there, a piece is created by interchanging different elements - freshwater pearls, 14 karat gold pieces, Swarovski crystals, large sterling beads or semi-precious stones. It is a process of adding, changing and deleting until the right look is created. Some of the pieces have a very traditional style, while others are more contemporary. It is fun to mix the two for a whole new look. Also, the combination of elements lets you mix the pieces with either silver or gold that you may already wear. Sometimes new designs are developed from feedback at Shows or suggestions I receive. This makes the creative process such fun because of the different viewpoints that come together in one piece. That is another reason I enjoy interacting with my customers. There are names for each piece based on a person or place that reminds me of that particular piece. Some of you may recognize yourselves if you pay close attention! To protect the components of the jewelry, please do not use chemicals to clean the pieces or expose them to household cleansers. Wearing the jewelry will maintain its lustre naturally. However, you may wipe the silver with a silver cleaning cloth if you wish. Enjoy!
